November Card Club

 This Tic Tac holder makes a very cute gift. The Tic Tac's were bought at Wal-Mart in the candy section, 4 for $3 and some change. 

 Cut your patterned cardstock at 5 3/4 x 3 1/8. Score at 5/8, 1 1/4, 3 3/16 and 3 13/16. Corner round the edges if desired. The paper for the stamped image is 2 7/8 x 1 3/4. 

Stamp your image on the small piece of paper and decorate as desired. Adhere to the larger paper in the space indicated in the image below.   

 Adhere the Tic Tacs 

 Punch a hole for the snowman's tummy. Add Velcro to keep it closed. 

October Card Club

This cute little bag was made with an 11 x 8 1/2 sheet of paper, and there are no cuts, just score lines!
Sore along the 11 inch side at 3/4, 4 1/2, 6 1/2 and 10 1/4. Score along the short side at 2 and 6 1/2. There is also a little diagonal score line. Here is the link to the instructions with pictures to help you make yours. Decorate as desired!

July Card Club

This card was made with watercolor paper, inks and water for a watercolor effect. Ink up a stamp with 2 or 3 different colors, spray water on the stamp, then stamp it on the paper. Clean your stamp after each use.

June Card Club

We finger painted the rose on this card with pigment inks. Here is a link to instructions and here is a video to show it.

May Card Club

This background is made from 1/4 inch strips of cardstock. Use tape runner as the adhesive and lay the strips diagonal in any direction you choose. The piece that was covered measured 4 x 5 1/4 inches. After the piece is covered, run it through a dry embossing machine, this helps bind the paper to the adhesive. Decorate as desired.

This is a fun flip card. Here are directions and dimensions to make your own!

March Card Club

 For the bow in this card we used a handmade bow template. 

The measurements to make the bow template are below, and it was cut 

out of cardboard. 

I used a ribbon about 17 inches long. 

 Start on the left side, using your thumb hold a bit of ribbon

diagonal from the left to the right upper portion of the template

 Wrap the ribbon from the right, around the front toward the left.

 Wrap the ribbon around once more, around the back and around the front for 

a double bow in the example. There should be two rows of ribbon

on the front and one on the back with the end of the ribbon hanging to the left.

Take the left upper ribbon and insert it into the space in the template

below the ribbon that was wrapped around the upper portion of the template.  

 Bring it to the top of the ribbon, keeping it in the space 

of the template. 

 Now take the ribbon that is under your thumb and line it up with the other

end of the ribbon as shown above. 

Tie a knot with the two ends of the ribbon it should look like this above. 

 This is what it should look like from the front.

 Now slide the bow off the template and adjust and fluff the ribbon to your liking.

You can use the ends to wrap around paper as in the example above, or adjust

the ends below the bow and trim as desired. 

February Card Club

Masking tape was used to make the background of this card. Tear off some masking tape and run it across your ink pad then put the tape on your paper and rub the tape, then remove it to reveal the color and the great texture! The ink used in this example are all from Close to My Heart and are as follows from left to right: Pacifica, Indian Corn Blue, Twilight, Lagoon, Juniper, and Crystal Blue.

This technique is called "ink blowing" Start out with plain card stock or in this example we used textured cardstock. Drop a few drops of re-inker onto the cardstock and use a straw blow the ink. The ink pretty much goes where it wants, but you can try to direct it. Add more ink and blow with your straw as desired. Each card you make will be unique! The re-inker colors that were used here are Lagoon, Ruby and Honey, all from Close to My Heart. The circle was cut at 2 inches in white and the sun shape cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge at 2 1/2. The stamp Thanks so Much from the You mean the World to Me stamp set (B1467) was stamped in Archival Black Ink.

October Card Club

This sweet little coffin gift box was made from the Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge. On page 76 of the Artiste booklet you will find the coffin, skeleton, and web (used as a stencil), page 77 is where the spider is.  I cut the coffin at 4 inches, the web at 3 inches, the skeleton at 3 1/2 inches and the spider at 1 inch. A big, black brad was put on the spider for an embellishment, as well as hold the little guy on the coffin. The spooky banner was cut at 3/4 inches and stamped with black ink. To get the web effect, place the cut out on the lid of the coffin before you fold it. Hold it with one hand and use the other hand to ink up a sponge with black ink and sponge the ink on the coffin lid, remove the web and you have the outline of the web remaining. Remember to use good adhesive with this project so it won't come apart. We used Zig 2 way glue pen. This little coffin can hold 1 fun size candy bar. 

September Card Club

To make this card, mask a section about a third of the way down with a 1 inch post-it note. Stamp your images by random stamping. Start with your biggest stamp first, then fill in around it with the next biggest stamp and so on. The stamps were swiped across the stamp pad for the muted effect. When you are finished with stamping, remove the post-it note and stamp your sentiment.

August Card Club

This fun little flower was made using eight 1 1/4 inch circles. Each circle was folded and then attached to a 1 1/4 inch circle to make the flower. A brad was then added to the middle.

July Card Club

This Altoid tin was first covered with Slate washi Tape around the top edge. The washi tape was then folded in and covered with patterned paper adhered with Modge Podge. To size this paper, place the tin upside down on the back side of the paper you plan to use, trace around it and cut inside the line to get the proper size. The bottom paper was cut 1/2 inch by 12 inches and adhered with Modge Podge. The shape was cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, the shape was <Rctngle8> on page 65 cut at 1 inch. Sentiment was stamped in Cotton Candy ink and edged with Slate. This was then adhered with Modge Podge and then the entire top was covered with a light layer of Modge Podge to seal it. Decorate as desired.

To make the album portion, cut a 3 1/2 inch by 11 inch plain cardstock, score every two inches and accordion fold. You will have an inch of paper on the end, cut a 2 x 3 1/2 inch paper to cover that part, glue together. Round all corners. Cut two pieces of score tape for the bottom of the tin, and if desired, cut a length of 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, find the middle of the ribbon and place that crosswise in the middle of the tin. Then place the accordion folded paper with the glued piece in the bottom of the tin covering the ribbon. For the paper in the top of the open tin, again trace the top of the tin on the backside of your desired paper and cut inside the lines, adhere in place. Add pictures that are 1 7/8 x 3 3/8.

June Card Club

The background of this card was made using an embossing folder and ink. Ink directly on one side of the embossing folder and spray a rubbing alcohol on the ink. Place your paper down on the inked side and close the folder. Rub the folder all over and the ink will transfer to the paper. No need to use a Cuttlebug! The rubbing alcohol makes the ink dry very fast. Decorate as desired.

March Card Club

Watercolor technique. This card was made using watercolor paper cut to 2.5 x 3.5. Take a clear block, using a water-based die ink pad, ink directly on the block. Colors used in this card were Honey, Topiary, and Lagoon. Once the block is inked to your linking (more ink = more vibrant colors, less ink = lighter color) spray the paper with water 3 times, then spray water your block 2 times, place your inked block directly on the paper and spread horizontally until the paper is colored with ink. Air dry, or use a heat tool to dry quickly. Once ink is dried, stamp desired image over the top of the watercolor. The black paper is cut just slightly larger than the watercolor paper and popped up from the card base (4.25 x 5.5)  using foam tape. The sentiment used on this card comes from Card Chatter - Sympathy (D1476). Flower image used from a retired stamp set, March Word Puzzle.

February Card Club

This exploding heart card was made by stamping a background image onto the card base. This example was stamped with 2nd generation Desert Sand with the script stamp in the Universal Background set. The envelope was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Crochet thread was wrapped around the envelope and a small flower was added with an adhesive pearl. The envelope was adhered to the card base. The hearts were cut with the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges. The ink colors are Lagoon, Tulip, Buttercup and Chocolate. Each heart was stamped and adhered to the envelope. The smaller hearts were stamped after all was added to the card.
